Windermere, Wordsworth & 'Steam on The Wild Side'

Windermere, Wordsworth & 'Steam on The Wild Side'

5 DAYS FROM £416

The Lake District has long been associated with some of the best natural scenery in the whole of the United Kingdom. A landscape of quaint villages, lakes and fells, the 18th century poet William Wordsworth called the area near the village of Grasmere the ‘calmest fairest spot on earth’. Perhaps the Lake District’s most popular visitor destination, Bowness-on-Windermere enjoys a delightful setting on the shores of the lake of the same name.

Situated in the beautiful and peaceful village of Lyth Valley close to Bowness-on-Windermere, our base for the tour is the very comfortable DAMSON DENE HOTEL. Set in stunning landscaped gardens, the hotel features a restaurant, lounge and bar along with a pool, gym and luxury spa facilities. All of the well furnished en suite bedrooms (some with spectacular lakeland views) have tv, telephone, ironing facilities and hospitality tray. Please note there is NO passenger lift but some ground floor rooms are available.
