Once a separate kingdom and England’s oldest county, Kent is home to some of the most beautiful and important castles and fortresses in Britain’s history. Our tour includes a visit to two of these – Leeds; often called the ‘loveliest castle in the world’ and Dover, which has commanded the gateway to the realm for nine centuries. We will also visit Chartwell, the much-loved Churchill family home from 1922 and the place from which Sir Winston drew inspiration until the end of his life. From the spectacular cathedral to charming medieval streets walked by Churchill and Charles Dickens, Canterbury has something to offer everyone.

Ideally placed for our visits, our base for the tour is the superb ‘Q’ ASHFORD INTERNATIONAL HOTEL which is located near Ashford. Features of the hotel include a bar and restaurant serving modern seasonal fayre, along with a health club/ spa with pool, jacuzzi and steam room. All of the contemporary well decorated en suite bedrooms have tv, telephone, hairdryer, iron/ironing board and hospitality tray. A passenger lift serves all floors.
