Isle of Portland & The Jurassic Coast

Isle of Portland & The Jurassic Coast

Based at the HEIGHTS HOTEL

6 DAYS FROM £480

Joined only to the mainland by a thin strip at the southern end of the sweeping arc of Chesil Beach, the ‘Isle of Portland’ is the Jurassic Coast’s most southerly point. Just 4 miles long and 1 ½ miles wide at its broadest point, this plate of limestone enjoys an isolated location with stunning views across the Chesil, Portland Harbour & the Dorset coast whilst the comparatively mild climate enables a wide variety of flora and fauna to thrive.

Our base here is the very comfortable HEIGHTS HOTEL which enjoys a spectacular location at the summit of the Isle of Portland. Features of the hotel include a restaurant, bar and coffee shop all of which are located on the first floor with magnificent panoramic views. All of the en suite bedrooms (which are situated on the ground and first floor) have tv, telephone, hairdryers and hospitality tray. Please note – whilst a passenger lift serves the restaurant, bar and coffee shop bedrooms on the first floor are accessible by stairs only.
