Due to popular demand we are pleased to offer a Christmas Shopping Weekend in Yorkshire, home to two of the country’s most popular Christmas Markets. Harrogate is known for its eclectic, elegant and diverse range of shops, along with all the leading high-street names sitting alongside stylish independent retailers. York offers more attractions per square mile than any other destination in the UK; delve into its heritage, or explore the winding streets with their designer stores, shops and boutiques.
Very popular with our passengers in 2019, our base for the weekend is once again the very comfortable CROWN HOTEL which is centrally situated in the Montpelier Quarter of Harrogate just a short walk from the renowned Betty’s Tea Rooms. Features of the hotel include a restaurant and two lounge/bars where drinks and snacks are served throughout the day. All of the well-furnished en suite bedrooms have tv, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. A passenger lift serves all floors
Brief Itinerary
Saturday 20th November
We depart Newark early morning (please see specified pick up points below) and utilise the motorway system so to Harrogate where we will be dropped off at our hotel which is a 5 minute walk from the Christmas Market and shops. The day is then free at your leisure (bags will already have been dropped off at the hotel) and you are able to check in from 3.00pm in order to freshen up before our evening meal. Due to the central location of our hotel, you may wish to walk to the market after dinner as it does stay open until 8.30pm!
Sunday 21st November
Departing Harrogate after a leisurely breakfast we make our way to York and a central drop off close to the shops and St Nicholas Christmas Fair (please note due to Sunday trading laws some shops may not open until 11.00am). After a full day’s shopping/sightseeing, we then re-join the coach late afternoon for the return journey to Newark arriving here at approximately 6.30pm.
